The mayaNomics Internship Program is a blanket internship — interns are admitted into the programme and then assigned to specific roles and rotation areas by the mayaNomics team based on their background, skills, and the Forum's current operational needs. This is not a single-role internship; it is a structured multi-area experience designed to give entry-level candidates broad exposure to the mayaNomics ecosystem.

The standard internship period is 6 months, with the option to extend to 12 months based on performance and mutual agreement. Interns work under the supervision of designated mayaNomics team members and are expected to contribute meaningfully to assigned projects.

This is an unpaid internship. Interns are not employees or contractors of mayaNomics Forum and receive no monetary compensation. In recognition of their contribution, interns earn mayaNomics Credits at a rate equivalent to 1 CHF per hour of verified work. These credits may be redeemed exclusively for products and services offered directly by mayaNomics Forum — they cannot be used for third-party or partner products.

Where a member of the Forum is willing to accept mayaNomics Credits instead of monetary payment for their own services, interns may also use credits to access those member-provided services, subject to mutual agreement between both parties.

Interns are automatically enrolled as Forum members at the tier appropriate to their qualifications: GeoEconomic Professional for most interns, or GEDC Junior Delegate for those assigned to diplomatic engagement rotations. Membership entitlements apply from the date of enrollment.
